Beautiful Brows Class Recap
On November 3rd, 2021 I had the privilege of hosting the Beautiful Brows class with Dana of Anastasia of Beverly Hills at Nordstrom at The Gardens Mall where participants learned all about creating beautiful brows, and now you can too in the video above!
Anastasia of Beverly Hills has been shaping and creating beautiful eyebrows for 25 years. Between color, shape, and products, many women have struggled with their own eyebrows, and that is what Dana is here to help with!
The service that Dana provides is 30 minutes. It is very specified to your specific face and bone structure. The difference between getting your eyebrows done somewhere convenient and getting them done with Dana is that this service is all about YOU! It isn’t just about removing hair, it’s about assessing what works best for your face to give you the most visually appealing brows that you can maintain at home.
Dana taught us about The Golden Ratio, which measures your face and eye shape, this establishes the idea place for your brow to start, arch, and end. Dana is a Master Brow Artist, but even Master Brow Artists use stencils! This helps provide a baseline on where your brow should get waxed and where it should be filled in. Dana taught us how to properly place the stencil to make it easier for you to know where to start! She also taught us about the importance of quality products and ensuring correct application so that your brows don’t budge during the day!
Once you have the base shape down from the stencil with the brow powder, we used Brow Wiz. Dana makes a great analogy that the powder is like the lipstick and the Brow Wiz is the lip liner! While you aren’t doing an outline with it, you are providing a bit of definition and the look of individual hairs. The next step is the highlight! It is incredible, it provides the look of lift and almost carves out the entire brow. The shimmer goes above the highlight and provides a bit of softness as well.
Next is brow gel. On my first brow we used clear brow gel. On the second we used tinted brow gel to demonstrate what we do when my hair is a bit lighter, it adds a little bit of color to lighten up my brows so they match your hair! I love that there are so many options so it can match my hair year-round.
Remember that this is to make YOU feel confident! Play around with your brows until they make YOU happy! The best news, if you don’t love how your brows look, well that’s why makeup remover exists!
