Pumpkin: It’s Not Just for Lattes and Candles

Pumpkin can and SHOULD be a part of your beauty routine.

That’s right, pumpkin is a power player in beauty products because of all of its superfood properties!

The minerals zinc and potassium boost collagen production, the rich folate improves blood circulation and increased hair growth, and the fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy help brighten the complexion, as well as reduce fine lines.

Pumpkin contains Vitamin A, C, and E. It also contains tons of antioxidants that help fight sun damage and wrinkles. The fruit enzymes help to naturally exfoliate dead skin cells leaving your complexion brighten and glowing. Plus, the zinc and potassium help to combat redness.

Eating pumpkin helps give you clear and beautiful skin as well! Pumpkin is an excellent source of essential nutrients that can help to clear up your skin and improve its tone and elasticity.  Pumpkin contains niacin, riboflavin, B6, and folate which increases blood circulation and helps to treat acne. Pumpkin’s power punch of zinc and potassium combats redness and reduces skin inflammation. And did you know that the vitamin C and beta-carotene help reverse UV damage and improve skin texture.

Pro tip: Add 1 Tbs of finely ground oatmeal for sensitive skin.

Also, the honey will lock in moisture and keep your skin plump and glowing!
